The Status Window

The PageSentry status Window displays the Status, Sentry Name, and Time to Check for each Sentry, as well as detailed information for a selected Sentry. The window is resizable, so if you have a longer list than in this example you may either resize the window so all sentries are shown, or you can scroll up and down to display only a few of the Sentries. The information in the Status column will be either OK, to let you know a Sentry is successfully accessing a server, or ERR to indicate a server failure. When errors occur, the entire row of information will be displayed in red. An example is shown in Figure 14.

Figure 14: The PageSentry Status Window.

You can see more information about a particular sentry in the Status Window by clicking once on a particular Sentry item in the lower-half of the Status Window. The Sentry Detail window displays the following information:

Sentry - The name of the Sentry.

Test - The result of the last test by the Sentry.

AppleEvent - The AppleEvent result of the action taken (if any) by the Notifier after the last test.

E-Mail - The e-mail result of the action taken (if any) by the Notifier after the last test.

Using the Status window, you can also control Sentry execution. You can edit a Sentry, temporarily disable a Sentry, or cause a Sentry to perform it's test immediately.

Here is how to perform each of these functions...

Edit a Sentry
Double-click on the Sentry's name in the Sentry List.

Temporarily disable a Sentry
Double-click on the Sentry's "Time To Check" value in the Sentry list. To enable the Sentry, double-click on the "Time To Check" again.

Execute a Sentry now
Double-click on the Sentry's status in the Sentry list.
